Who We Are

TackleBoxYouth Ministries began in the fall of 2005 as an extension of Victorious Life Church of the Nazarene. The group is made up of several youth from the surrounding Indianapolis areas. We meet together on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings to grow in our personal relationship with Christ while having fellowship with others and the community in which we live.

Our mission as a group is "to equip youth with the tools required to sustain and grow a relationship with Christ in their personal lives so they can in turn reach out to the world and bring them to know the character of Christ."

We also realize that being a young person is a wonderful time in our lives, so we love to just have fun. We gather together to go on weekend trips, attend camps, have lock-ins, or just go out for a night on the town.

Christ is the center of our focus during our time together. During our study time, we have recently looked into the book written by Tony Evans called "What Matters Most to Jesus." Through it we learned four elements that bring us closer to God; worship, fellowship, study of scripture, and evangelism to the world. We gained an understanding of each area while learning what it takes to fulfill our part in each of these areas. Through our commitment God in turn compensates or rewards us for our obedience to Him.

Through the next few months we will be looking in depth at a series called "Life Together." The study will look at Who we are as people, where we are in God's wonderful plan, and how we can better reach out and serve others while showing them a true picture of the love Christ has for each one of us. Join us as we continue to grow and serve God together as friends.
